How it works
The SpectrumSpot emm is capable of measuring radiation levels from .01 micro-watt per centimeter squared (considered safe), to 100 milli-watts per centimeter squared (even more dangerous if exposure is prolonged), all within a frequency range from 50 Hz to 3 GHz.

A series of six colored LEDs on the front display inform the user in real-time the measurement of electromagnetic radation.

Microwave ovens, high voltage transmission power-lines, even cellular phones all emit potentially dangerous levels of electromagnetic radiation.

How can you tell if your home or office space is exposed to dangerous levels of electromagnetic radiation?

The SpectrumSpot emm; its small, battery operated hand-held design, enables a surveyor to detect potentially dangerous offending signals virtually anywhere.

Why Surveying for Electromagnetic Radiation is Important
Obviously, prolonged exposure to electromagnetic radiation creates a health hazard. Today's modern homes and offices are filled with devices which emit radiation above ANSI (American National Standards Institute) exposure limits when not operated at a safe distance from the user.

Example 1:
Shown is a Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) Monitor with no emission reduction on the face of the screen. A person using this monitor should sit at least 19 inches away from the screen to reduce their exposure to a safe level. The emm can safely indicate the safe distance in which a user should operate this monitor.

Example 2:
Again, shown is a low-emission Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) Monitor with emission reduction on the face of the screen. A person using this monitor should sit at least 10 inches away from the screen to reduce their exposure to a safe level. The emm can indicate the safe distance in which a user should operate this monitor.
